Centre for International Film Research and Archives (CIFRA) Centre for International Film Research and Archives (CIFRA)  Kerala Chalachitra Academy aims to protect the rich heritage of Malayalam cinema for the future generation through Centre for International Film Research and Archives (CIFRA) which is situated inside the KINFRA campus in Kazhakkuttom, Thiruvananthapuram. The well- equipped building houses a research library and Digital Archives with more than 10,000 Indian and foreign films, film related books, mini -theatre, conference hall and offices space for Chalachitra Academy. Conceptualised as a memorial for yesteryear actor Sathyan, the new initiative was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri.Pinarayi Vijayan on 21st November, 2018 in the presence of a host of dignitaries, including veteran artists Madhu and Sreekumaran Thampi.  Hon'ble  Minister for Culture Sri.A.K Balan who presided over the function, inaugurated the mini theatre named after Ramu Kariat, the legendary filmmaker. Chalachitra Sameeksha

Chalachitra Sameeksha Chalachitra Sameeksha  The first edition of Chalachitra Sameeksha, the official magazine of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, was released in August, 2017. MT Vasudevan Nair released the first copy to noted filmmaker Saeed Mirza to mark the event, and 32 editions have been issued since. The bilingual magazine that was conceived as a part of the Academy’s initiatives to propagate a film culture of superior quality has been well received by academicians and cinephiles alike. The magazine includes both serious discussions on cinema, and interviews and well researched articles on noted film personalities to give closer insights into their lives and works.
