Federation
Internationale de la Presse Cinematographique (FIPRESCI)
is the international federation of film critic's organizations
and exists to support film culture and provide professional
support both for film critics and filmmakers. It convenes
critics juries at some of the major film festivals around
the world, including Cannes, Berlin and Venice, as well
as awarding its own International Best Film award each
year. The FIPRESCI Federation has members in sixty countries
and was founded in the late 1920's. Their charter is
to promote film art and to encourage new and young cinema.

FIPSRESCI Jury adjudges:

(FIPRESCI) Award for the best film. The competition
section is restricted to films produced in Asia, Africa
and Latin America, and the international Federation
of film critics gives an award for the best film selected
by the Fipresci Jury.
The
Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema Award (NETPAC)
aims to promote Asian cinema's role in the development
of cultural diversity and integrity in the face of late
twentieth century globalization. It involves filmmakers,
critics, festivals, programmers, distributors, exhibitors
and film educators.
